Ofsted continue to recognise of our high standards

At The Snappy Trust, we’ve always been committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for the children we support. In 2017, Ofsted rated us as Good across all areas, recognising our high standards of care and dedication. Here’s what the inspector had to say:

  • “The Snappy Trust implements thorough recruitment and vetting procedures. Checks on staff, committee members, volunteers, and students are completed. Staff receive regular support, supervision, and training to develop their skills and knowledge. This ensures that adults are safe to work with children.”

  • “Staff have a secure and up-to-date understanding of child protection procedures. They know how to report concerns. Most staff hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.”

  • “Staff understand the importance of working with parents. Staff know the procedures for storing and giving children medication and taking them on outings. Staff complete accident, incident, nappy changing, and medication forms fully and share these with parents. Parents share information about their children’s health care and any behavioural concerns, and update this information annually.”

Updated to 'Compliant' - but what does that Mean?

Since 2017, Ofsted has updated its inspection framework, which now focuses on ensuring organisations like ours meet essential standards for safety, care, and operational quality. Under this new system, we are proud to share that The Snappy Trust has been rated as Compliant.

This means we’ve met all the key criteria for providing:

  • A safe and secure environment for children.

  • Thorough staff training and qualifications, including first aid and safeguarding.

  • Clear processes for managing medication, accidents, and individual care needs.

  • Strong partnerships with parents to ensure children’s wellbeing and development.

While "Compliant" replaces earlier grades like "Good" or "Outstanding," it reflects our continued commitment to meeting the highest standards set by Ofsted – ensuring your children and young people are safe, cared for, and thriving.
